Wimbledon's Second Village

Archetypon Flying Text

Welcome to Wimbledon’s second village. This up and coming residential area and London suburb within the London Borough of Merton just over 8 miles from the centre of the capital offers a combination of town and country life. It is a happy medium and ideal scenario for families with young children with its low buildings and period architecture, parks and recreational facilities, tennis courts, near-by golf courses and other open spaces making it a superb position.
Apart from Wimbledon itself and its famous tennis courts, neighbouring sites of historical interest are Richmond Park, Kingston-upon-Thames and Hampton Court, ideal locations to visit especially at weekends.
Raynes Park has a good public transport network both for buses and rail via Wimbledon central for the District Line underground service and rail connection allowing one quick access into central London in half an hour either direct to Waterloo or stopping at Vauxhall for the Victoria line. Clapham Junction is a 10 to15 minute stop away for connections to Victoria station or to Gatwick airport.
There is a growing number of local businesses which cover most needs, including banks, shops, supermarkets, a busy developing high street and a range of services. There are more and more international restaurants, which cater for all tastes apart from a choice of public taverns.
